My Story
Born in the former USSR and raised in the Middle East, I was enriched with many diverse experiences, where art has always been a major element of self-expression and a form of escapism.
I’ve lived, studied and created in New York for most of my life, and it has been an infinite source of inspiration. The magnitude of the artistic scene provides a vast infrastructure for an artist and many human instances that give a deep insight into the tragedy of the mortal condition. What’s important to me as part of the creative process is to be able to discuss the ephemeral harmony of a moment, a person, or a scene, both in the darkest shadow and the brightest light, documenting the beauty and fleeing emotion behind it; agony, longing, sensuality, erotica, and the aesthetics of Memento Mori. Art is very sacred to me. It is the on-going proof that there is more to life and that pursing it is bigger than just the sum of the individual, and I will continue to explore existence with great wonder in search of my unique voice as an artist. |
